Hidden Figures
The untold true story of pioneering female African American mathematicians who worked for NASA in the early 1960’s and helped America win the Space Race.

Hidden Figures celebrates the work and life of scientific heroines Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan, and Mary Jackson, who overcame racism and sexism to achieve their dreams. Adapted by Allison Schroeder and Theodore Melfi from the nonfiction book by Margot Lee Shetterly, Hidden Figures stars Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, and Janelle Monáe. It was directed by Melfi and features an original soundtrack by Benjamin Wallfisch, Hans Zimmer, and Pharrell Williams.
Hidden Figures received three nominations at the 89th Academy Awards, including Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Supporting Actress and Best Picture.
